Culture Review: My Final Project

My culture review project is going to be on this novel title "To Kill A Mocking Bird". The main reason of choosing this special piece of literary work is to show that there are difficulties in this world that people have to face everyday. People often struggle day-to-day getting through this society. This might be based on different races or stereotyping others based on what you think you know just by looking at this person. However this novel will point out the key facts of what it is to feel unwanted and often get accuse of wrong doing which sometimes might have nothing to do with you or the person within you. As my report continues to grow you will see the out come of being stereotype because of your race or whatever the case may be.

  1. Good topic and you'll find a lot written on "Mockingbird". One question is if you want to focus on the novel's social commentary and--if so--specifically talk about it in terms of racism (since that was the central theme) or make connections to stereotypes and discrimination in general, as you suggested. You can successfully do either one and the choice is yours.

  2. Thank you.

I think that I am going to work on the topic of racism since that was the central theme. Well not only that but it can always relate to today's world that we are living in as individuals been face with racism.

  3. Makes sense and it's the obvious choice. I also think relating it to today's world will work also. What parts of "Mockingbird" still ring true? What's changed? How does it feel to read it now?

On a different note: wow--the blog looks great. You really did a lot of tinkering with it since I last looked.
